We adopted this program in 2008. We participate with every public elementary school in Alameda to spread the joy of reading and riding to kids and parents alike. Each child has a chance to win one of 10 bikes and 30 helmets we donate each year simply by reading books - 150 minutes of reading equals one raffle ticket.

Diabetes and the inability of critical thinking has hit epidemic proportions in our youth. Books 4 Bikes is our way of spreading good mental and physical health habits that will hopefully last lifetimes.
