The Avail AR 3 from Liv is a bike that excites a lot of us. As the road bike market sort of shifts down a gravel-y path, the Avail AR 3 redefines what an entry level women's road bike should be. Most people who ride bikes don't race them, or even really aspire to ever race them. Entry level road bikes have always looked like their higher-end counterparts. The Avail AR 3 looks a lot more like a gravel bike. While it still has smooth tires, they're wider (and you can squeeze much more in the frame and fork) and the bike has disc brakes. We're down with wide tires here - they do a whole lot for ride quality. The carbon fork, integrated shifting, and 2x9 drivetrain give you a lot of bang for your buck. This bike should be a heck of a lot more comfortable than the entry level bikes of years past.
